I currently spend most of my time on the SALMOCODE project: the Salmon Map of Organs and Cells for the Optimal Development of Embryos. In this initiative, we want to use single-cell transcriptomics to map embryogenesis in Atlantic salmon, and determine which emerging cell types are sensitive to various environmental conditions. SALMOCODE is a collaboration between NMBU, Nofima, UiT, Aqua Kompetanse, NCE Aquaculture, Benchmark Genetics, and MOWI, and is funded by the Norwegian Seafood Research Fund FHF. Project website coming soon, until then: news in Norwegian and English.

I have a long-standing interest in eel biology, and am a member of the EEL SUPPORT network.
